Great experience at lunchtime today! Service was amazing, friendly and happy. Food was delicious and it was not too busy. Got free desert on Women’s day, which was a nice surprise - thank you. I would go back again, recommend.

For the prices there which you could check before you go : On arrival no coat taken, no check back during the meal, £1 of contribution for whatever reason, 13.50% service charge with no service just plates served at the table, my 5yo chic could do it, no chat during my meal, sides 2 times smaller than nice restaurants around, « no goodbye » no nothing on departure just some good money spent for no reason. The only good point : the meat was cooked properly !

Good food but nothing special. The service was also good but nothing outstanding. The apple crumble was smaller than you’d expect! Actually, the smallest I have ever eaten in London and that for a proud price of 9£!

This is the place if you are looking for great steak in a casual and lively environment. We landed at Paternoster after a week filled with all the ethnic foods and found this perfect spot for more traditional food. The ribeye was on point. The separate sides lacked some selection on the veggie side, but the mash potatoes and fries were good. The comments from our table said it was the best meal of the week. I agree.

Absolutely delicious meal and a very nice service. The atmosphere was very nice. We went on a Tusday which probably helped. Pricey but it is worth it. Highly recommend it. Applause the "Invisible soup" idea as a way to donate for a charity.

Decent steaks and sides. The £23 cheese board was very disappointing: 3 small wedges straight from the fridge, no indication of what these were and half a packet of water biscuits scattered in a clumsy attempt to disguise the small portions. Makes you question the value of the rest of the meal, which is definitely priced at the higher end.

Probably the worst steak I’ve ever had. Was burnt on the outside and completely raw in the middle, will not be going back. Service was just okay, junior staff need more training.

Very mixed feeling on this place, for the following reasons: It's a steak joint, so you're expecting a great cut, perfectly cooked. On this, it was delivered and enjoyed immensely. However, there were lots of elements surrounding this which really didn't marry up to the price tag...let me break them down: 1) upon arrival (early booking on Sat night for 4 people), restaurant was completely empty party from a table of 4 in the far corner. I have no issues with this, it's early right? However, the 'gentleman' greeting us was incredibly condescending / non welcoming...opening the dialogue with 'errrr, do you have a booking?' Once booking confirmed, he proceeded to walk us to sit right next to the only other people in the restaurant! We weren't having this, and very firmly told him nope, we'll sit on this table over here. Sour taste left in mouth from the offset, which is never a good thing. As mentioned main course Tomahawk steak was great, no complaints (but the incredibly unfriendly intro to the restaurant made us want to look for issues!). - bernaise sauce: bad. We sent it back. - side chips: oil needs to be changed, as dirty. Spinach: lovely Mushrooms: standout side dish Wine list: eclectic. Not overpriced, but unless you know your way around a global wine selection, you may struggle. Overall, I wouldn't go back.

We genuinely watched the staff struggle for a few minutes to open the cork on a bottle of red. Atmosphere was poor early(pre 7pm) but got better as evening went on

Steak was not cooked to correct order and waiting staff did not seem well trained. Seemed expensive for the food we were served.

OMG. My taste buds are on fire. Amazing fillet steak, best waiter service and bar service ever. Definately eating here again and we are not local. Oustanding!

I went to Paternoster Chop House for the first time last week and what an experience. The food (especially the steak) was delicious, the service was great and it had a great ambience. I found the prices pretty comparable to the usual chain steakhouses and it was worth every penny. The steal melted in my mouth and the desserts looked delicious. If you're looking for somewhere to go on a date night or for something special this is somewhere that should be on your list

Celebrated my birthday last night and myself and my partner were really happy. The staff were exceptional on service ( I have just read they do not recieve service charge direct which we are sad about as they deserve it this must change if it is the case) they were very polite attentive and pleasent. Food was decent and a very good size thank you for making my birthday special :)

We came here for my birthday and had complimentary champagne and a dessert! For main we shared a chateaubriand which was delicious! 🥂

Since it has moved locations the prices have skyrocketed and you have no view and a dead atmosphere. Food is ok but portions are tiny and everything is astronomically priced.
